FLEX-MAT Type D
Situation
Double-deck screen box running woven wire screen causing severe blinding and pegging on both decks resulting in production losses.
PROBLEM
Due to the sticky nature of the recycled asphalt, a plant was forced to shut down every two hours to clean the screens that were blinding.
- Blinding up to 6″ (152 mm) deep.
- Loss of 2 hours of production daily.
SOLUTION
Switched to FLEX-MAT Type D
- Eliminated blinding and downtime.
- Produced reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) to specifications.
- Reduced downtime and increased throughput.
- Cleaned out fines from crushed concrete.
