Today, MAJOR is a wholly owned subsidiary of Haver & Boecker, a family-managed, midsize company with headquarters in Germany, with over 50 subsidiary companies on all five continents, 3,000 employees and 150 representatives worldwide. MAJOR is the unit globally responsible for pre-crimped wire screens targeted at the aggregate and mining markets.

1884
Edward James Major founded the Major Manufacturing Company, which initially manufactured wire fencing, safety screens for windows and other screens.

Ian B. Shaw received a Bachelor of Commerce in 1939 from McGill University. He passed away on October 18, 2003.
1980
Richard C. Pinsonneault has been a wire weaving manager since 1972 and purchased MAJOR when he became the president of the company.
1990
Jean Leblond significantly grew the business and expanded it internationally with the introduction of several revolutionary new products. These include FLEX-MAT® 3 High-Performance Screen Media in tensioned and modular screen media versions and the industry’s strongest woven wire with OptimumWire®.
In 2012, Haver & Boecker OHG, through its wholly owned company W.S. Tyler, purchased 40% of the shares from Jean Leblond.
2015
Haver & Boecker OHG, (based in Oelde, Germany and founded in 1887), purchased the other 60% of the shares owned by Jean Leblond.
